I'm Millie

and I am my #1!

Hello, I'm Millie, I'm 12 years old and I live in England. Ever since I was diagnosed aged 9, I have been campaigning for a fairer future for people living with Type 1. Here in the UK we are counting down to a General Election - that means people over the age of 18 vote on which political party they want to form our next Government and so I have written my own Manifesto - Millie's Manifesto which I have delivered to 10 Downing Street, home of the Prime Minister, and sent copies to all current Members of Parliament and Parliamentary candidates. I want our MP's to fund insulin pumps for anyone that wants one, only 7% of people with Type 1 have one and spend more money looking for a cure. I am coming to the Children's Congress in Washington in July and I am looking forward to making lots of new friends - if you see me come and say hello!
